We spent Thanksgiving in Charleston, South Carolina at a big family reunion. I like Thanksgiving because it hasn’t become as commercialized as other holidays. I mean, how can you commercialize getting together with some of the most important people in your life and sharing a meal? That is the essence of Thanksgiving. Being thankful that you are alive and have food and friends and family.

We had a great time talking, laughing and watching movies. We were right across from the beach too, and walking on the beach in November is neat. And on this particular beach, they allow dogs! I kept thinking it would be a great place to go scootering - sometime I will have to do that. Although the air was cold, the ocean was quite warm and I waded a little, although I didn’t swim.

We also stayed in the Carolina Sandhills on the way back to GA and I met a beautiful dog that I think must have been a cross between a chow and a malamute.

I meet dogs everywhere I go.
