Helen is a red-brown husky from Noatak who now lives at Northern Sky. She is the shyest dog in the kennel and does not like strangers. She loves people who she knows though and she is starting to warm up to me. This morning she licked my hand and let me scratch her under her jaw. I’m trying not to push things with her. She lets me harness her and hook her to the sled though, which is good. She looks very much like a large coyote with tall ears. I love her and hope she will eventually let me pet her. She sometimes seems to forget her shyness at feeding time.

Helen is a great wheel dog.
