Xena (as in the warrior princess) is a small gray/brown brindle husky. She is a really sweet, friendly dog (as are most of the huskies at Northern Sky). One of her favorite things to do (besides run) is to stand with both front feet in her food bowl, which is attached to the side of her house. She has a very sweet face and often has frosty whiskers on colder mornings. Xena loves to play with me whenever I am doing something out in the dogyard.

Sometimes I call her “Xena, Xena, Xena, Athena” for no particular reason except it rhymes and I like the way it sounds. Xena just likes it because it means I’m talking to her. She is the only dog in the kennel that I have known to slip a collar. That happened after a run when I was unhooking her.
