Ula is a sleek white husky who came to Northern Sky from Noatak racing kennels next door. She is a very nice girl with a cowlick on the back of her neck. She seems to have a thinner coat than some of the other dogs but I think most of that is just the way she looks. She stays warm. Ula is learning to run lead. I ran her the first two times she was hooked in lead and she did perfectly although she doesn’t really line out when the team is stopped. This morning she led a tour team for the first time. Ula tries to play with the rake when I am cleaning straw from the dogyard.
Ulla’s nickname is “Ula-Ula”, which is what her original owner from Noatak calls her.
